ARMY DENTAL CORPS-SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION

Applications are invited from Indian Nationals for grant of Short ServiceCommission in Army Dental Corps.

The candidates on commissioning in Army Dental Corps will be granted therank of Capt with Basic Pay of Rs 17472/- and placed in the pay scalePB-3 (15600-39100). They will be granted Grade Pay of Rs 6100/- & MilitaryService Pay of Rs 6000/-, Non-practicing allowance at the rate of 25% ofthe Basic pay, Grade Pay & MSP and DA as admissible (total emolumentswill be apprx Rs 52000/-).

ELIGIBILITY

1.Candidates must be BDS (with minimum 55% marks in final yearMDS from a recognized College/University.

2.Should have completed one year rotatory Internship recognized byDental Council of India by 15 Oct 2011.

3.Should be in possession of Permanent Dental Registration Certificatesvalid at least upto 31 Dec 2011 at the time of interview.

Less than 45 years of age as on 31 Dec 2011.

Should be medically fit in all respects for service in the Armed Forces.

SELECTION PROCEDURE

1.Shortlisting for Interview: - Candidates found eligible will beshortlisted based on their Final BDS marks and attempts taken inFinal BDS. Shortlisted candidates will be required to appear beforethe Selection Board for interview only. However, all the eligible candidatesin possession of MDS degrees recognized by DCI will be called forinterview. There will be no shortlisting in their case.

2.Medical Examination:- All the candidates who are provisionallyplaced on the merit list will be brought before a Medical Board forMedical Fitness.
